UKTI Trade Mission to Houston, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts

Mark Thompson, Director of R&D at Southfacing Services was recently invited to attend a trade mission to the USA as part of a delegation put together by UK Trade and Investment (a government body that encourages investment and business opportunities abroad).

Whilst he was there, Mark spoke to many companies and state/government bodies about the United States approach to green issues and buildings. He also gave a presentation in Houston and Boston on Southfacing Services products.

Speaking to John Alker of the UK-GBC during the trip, Mark said “It's an exciting time for companies like Southfacing Services. Despite the economic climate there are undoubtedly opportunities in the US to put sustainability at the heart of low-carbon economic recovery as I have discovered during this trade mission. Our software and energy efficiency consultancy services related to green building look to be in great demand here and the UK is well respected and admired by the US for its cutting edge expertise in these areas."
